Job Description
You will be leading the engineering team and expanding it as we keep growing. Occasionally, there will be times you’ll get your hands dirty, but as a technical guru, you’ll be fine with that. You will own the whole development process, so you’ll have an opportunity to enhance the agile culture in a manner you believe is the most efficient. You’ll attract to the team new, extraordinary people who would dramatically increase engineering team capacity.
The purpose of your role at Allani will be both technical and strategic - to maintain stability and quality of code, as well as develop product strategy with Head of Product and CEO. You will increase and maintain velocity of the development and make sure trains run on time.
We believe that to make all this happen, you need to understand both product and people you work with. You should discover required competencies within engineering team and coach your team members so they can find ways to overcome any difficulties during the process.

Skills & Requirements
You should be both great organiser and expert at engineering (full stack, mainly Ruby). You are passionate about automating testing and know how manage the agile development process in the most efficient way. But foremost, you are a natural-born leader.
You simply can understand people - their dreams, needs, and problems. You want and you will make everyone in the engineering organisation successful. You can’t deny being a great manager and a great team builder - in a way that you are excellent recruiter, a great communicator, and a great issue resolver.
You know how to motivate your people and get them to hit deadlines and know when it’s OK to push hard for the team to hit a deadline even if it means yet another all-nighter or weekend. At the same time, you know when to tell CEO or Head of Product to get stuffed because the team has reached maximum stress or effort.
