Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework
  • Capable of developing and testing production code
  • Can work across the entire stack: css, js, rails, postgres
  • Knowledge of sql/postgres optimisation (without using RoR ActiveRecord library)
  • Comfortable working on API first applications where API call times are critical
  • Experienced using Heroku
  • Experienced using GitHub
  • Comfortable with writing automated tests
  • Good knowledge of web security best practices

System Administrator Experience

  • Good working knowledge of AWS (auto-scaling, auto-loadbalancing, db management)
  • Knows best practices for scaling app stably

Bonus

  • Knowledge of a front end MVC frameworks e.g. backbonejs, reactjs etc
