DeepCrawl has its roots in a desire to make the web a better place through better tools. We believe that the better tools web site managers have, the more likely they are to find ways to deliver genuine value to their users.
Our founders first built DeepCrawl to solve their own problem: they needed a better crawler to find and understand issues with a client’s million-page web site. They realised that by making a better tool, they were able to deliver more improvements to their client, and their client’s users. That crawler became DeepCrawl, now the most comprehensive web site auditing crawler on the market.
These roots have imparted a deep sense of user-driven purpose to our development team. Our developers care not just about crafting good code and improving design and usability, but about delivering a product that continuously deepens and broadens the ways people can find and understand issues with their site.
It’s still a young challenge. The longer we work in this business, the more ways we find for web sites to be bad, and the more ways to discover that badness. And then there’s the badness that masquerades as goodness: the trendy gimmicks that actually decrease usability and indexability. Sophisticated web crawler helps some of the world’s top companies improve their websites by giving them deep, comprehensive insights into their problems – and solutions. Companies that make their business on the web depend on DeepCrawl to improve user experience, manage change, and improve indexability.
Your role is to bring your passion for Ruby and other open-source technologies to build better tools for improving websites. In the end, it’s all about making the web a better place for users – with fewer annoying gimmicks and more genuinely useful, well designed, easily found resources.
We’ve built our stack on AWS and leading open source technologies: Ruby, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AngularJS. As a Ruby Developer, you’ll be writing backend code with our core team, and will have ample opportunity to learn new skills and evaluate leading-edge technologies as we seek the most powerful ways to reach our users.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work with a small but growing team of developers who are passionate about improving design, usability, reliability, scalability, and clarity of code, all with the end goal of satisfying our many users and making the web a better place
Help improve the scalability and performance of our crawler’s data processing pipeline and improve your understanding of performant and scalable design
Run benchmarks for performance- and resource-sensitive features
Help improve test coverage and testability of code
Work with product owners to write technical specifications for new features
Help improve internal tools for monitoring, testing, bug fixing, and administration
Provide mentoring and architectural guidance for other devs (architectural planning, code reviews)
Requirements
Essential:
Solid professional development experience
A deep knowledge of Ruby
An ability to understand and design complex application architecture
Experience with two or more of the following: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, MySQL, AWS, RSpec
Solid experience with modern testing practice
Excellent spoken and written English
Desirable:
Experience working with data at scale
Deep experience with PostgreSQL or a no-SQL data store, eg MongoDB or Redis
Leadership skills (this is not a management role, but an ability to take on leadership duties in enforcing best practice would useful)

Techforce jest firmą która oferuje full-pakiet software house innym klientom. Pulsateq, Bizimply, Quiver Software i inni… ) Programiści pracują z naszego biura które mieści się na ostatnim piętrze kamienicy przy ul. Krupniczej 3/8. (przy Teatrze Bagatela - centrum miasta ) Praca zdalna jest możliwa ale nie full -time. Nie możemy pozwolić sobie na zatrudnienie remote developera 100%. Praca zdalna możliwa na wzorcu - jeden max dwa dni w tygodniu.
Pracujemy w środowisku scrum-owym. Daily scrums - w przypadku DeepCrawl : godzina 10:30 trwają 10/15 minut.
Godziny Pracy
Praca w nienormowanych godzinach pracy. Ustalasz z klientem o której godzinie pracę zaczynasz i docelowo kończysz. Na ogól programiści pojawiają się w biurze od godziny 10/11 i pracują do 17/18. Wiemy że maksymalny czas w którym wy specjaliści IT pracujecie to 5,5/6h tak więc reszta przeznaczona jest na scrum meetingi czy turnieje gry w bilard/XBOX/ Boarding Games.
Nadgodziny
Nadgodziny są płatne. W tygodniu 150% * regular working hour fee. W weekendy (rzadko się zdarza że nasi programiści są proszeni o pracę w sobotę niedzielę) 200% regular working hour fee.
Nadgodziny mogą być wykorzystane jako wcześniejsze wyjście z biura, późniejsze przyjście do pracy.
Forma zatrudnienia

Składa się z IV części.
I. Rozmowa HR/ Skype HR ze mną. Część w języku polskim/ część w języku angielskim.
II. Rozwiązanie krótkiego testu tu opcja codility bądź nasz test wewnętrzny na Treasure Hunt.
III. Rozmowa techniczna z naszym Senior Developerem, pracującym na projekcie. Omawianie Twojego testu/ kodu. Prezentacja projektu od kuchni.
IV. Finalna rozmowa techniczna z klientem - DeepCrawl (skype call organizowany w naszym biurze )
