##Senior Ruby on Rails Developer##
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Specify and implement scalable and maintainable code quickly in a professional software engineering environment
- Collaborate with product managers on ideas and proactively provide suggestions on enhancements
- Translation of the product strategy into a compelling and elegant consumer facing web application - on Desktop as well as on Mobile
- Manage delivery timelines - you’re not afraid to provide effort estimates and stick to them
- Get projects across the finish line - striving for perfection thinking through each detail, but keen to deliver solid results
- Be a leader in the never-ending process of improving coding standards and polishing our systems
- Provide mentoring to other developers
YOUR PROFILE
- Passionate Rubyist as well as proven knowledge of Javascript and CSS
- Familiar with Agile development, BDD/TDD and able to quickly iterate as the product evolves
- Good knownledge of Git, PostgreSQL, jQuery, rabbitmq, JSON, Elasticsearch, RSpec, Kafka or willingness to catch up quickly
- Solid track record - experience launching top-notch web services that you are proud of
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and solve hard technical issues while shipping code regularly
- Good written and verbal language skills in English (German proficiency a plus, but not required)
- Having or willing to have your own company and send VAT invoices
- Knowledge of building machine learning architecture in a ruby/rails/aws environment is a plus
- Willingness to visit the company and meet the team at least twice a year
