Are you an expert Ruby on Rails developer looking for a new challenge in a new country?
My client, a leading Online Travel Retailer based near Manchester, UK, is rapidly growing their Ruby Development team in 2014, and is therefore looking to Ruby on Rails Developers who are looking for an opportunity to relocate to the UK, and join a talented team of Rubyists. My client will cover the cost of flights for interviews, Rental deposits and some setup costs in the UK, for the right candidate – meaning this is too good an opportunity to miss out on!
The ideal candidate will be a talented, English-speaking Ruby on Rails Developer, with strong commercial Ruby development experience, including using Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile methodologies, and an interest in developing web-based projects for high-traffic customer facing websites, as well as back office systems.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Rubyist, to work in a large team of likeminded Ruby Developers (including Developers already there from Eastern Europe) on a daily basis, within a dynamic development environment, tailored especially to provide the best platform for Ruby on Rails developers to thrive and grow their skills. You will be a GIT enthusiast who enjoys participating within the RoR community, who has a solid understanding of MVC design patterns and solid *nix command-line skills.
The Ideal Ruby /Ruby on Rails/ Rails Developer will not only have extensive skills with Ruby on Rails but possess great working knowledge of technologies such as Javascript / jQuery, XHTML, CSS. As well as programming practices including release procedures (Capistrano) and test practices (TDD), as well as excellent debugging skills.
