Upnext is a company working on innovative products in the offline and online payments industry. For our Warsaw office we’re looking for talented backend software developers who are 100% focused on great user experience and writing beautiful code.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build backend web product features in Ruby on Rails
- Design and build the backend APIs for transactional data processing
- Collaborate with an experienced team of engineers
Requirements:
- 3+ years developing highly dynamic web applications in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Solid software engineering skills
- Experience building and supporting RoR applications in production
- “Get it done” attitude. Ability to balance “right” and “right now”.
- Knowing which programming language is best suited to the current task
Additional Nice-to-have Skills:
- Some experience with JRuby code
- Experience working with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases in a production environment as well as leveraging Redis in building cache and queueing solutions.
- Working with testing frameworks, continuous integration and continuous deployment systems
- Rich, interactive browser-based development (Ember.js, Angular.js)
- Experience with Go lang
