Mid/Senior Ruby on Rails Developer
Responsibilities
- design and build backend web product features in Ruby on Rails
- design and build the backend APIs for transactional data processing
- collaborate with an experienced team of engineers
Requirements
- 3+ years developing highly dynamic web applications in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- solid software engineering skills
- experience building and supporting RoR applications in production
- “get it done” attitude and ability to balance “right” and “right now”
- knowing which programming language is best suited to the current task
Additional Nice-to-have Skills
- some experience with JRuby code
- experience working with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases in a production environment as well as leveraging Redis in building cache and queueing solutions
- experience working with testing frameworks, continuous integration and continuous deployment systems
- rich, interactive browser-based development (Ember.js, Angular.js)
- experience with Go lang
