Responsibilities
- Driving software architecture, design & development activities
- Keeping abreast of new technology trends and identifying opportunities and risks
- Learning and adopting new tools, technologies and programming languages
- Communicating with the Client on behalf of the team
- Extending and maintaining DevTeam’s knowledge base
- Being a technical mentor for other RoR Developers
- Taking part in grass-roots initiatives and starting them
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with software development
- Extensive knowledge of and commercial experience with Ruby & Ruby on Rails
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or noSQL databases
- Experience with: Sidekiq, Redis, Rubocop
- Knowledge of architectural and Object Oriented Programming design patterns
- Extensive Git knowledge
- Being independent as a tech lead within a small team
- Always willing to mentor other developers
Nice to have
- Experience with: Elastic Search, MQTT, Kafka, Docker
- Knowledge of at least one JS framework (i.e React.js/Vue.js)
- Contribution to Open Source community
