X8 is a 10-people strong digital agency specialising in sports, igaming & betting. Since 2012 we work for clients in UK and build our own products.
We are looking for a talented Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with at least 3 years of experience in writing great software.
You are a perfect candidate if you:
- are an expert in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- have great programming skills and a proven experience of writing clean, well designed code
- care about the code quality and application architecture
- have a pragmatic approach to development and like solving problems with a team
- know modern tools supporting development (git, TDD, continuous integration etc.)
- are comfortable with programming on the front-end (Javascript / CoffeeScript)
- are familiar with the modern Javascript frameworks like AngularJS, Backbone or ReactJS
- have some experience in creating API for mobile applications
- can jump into front-end HTML / CSS work when necessary
- communicate clearly in Polish and English (face to face and in writing)
Your main challenge will be writing code, maintaining existing apps and collaborating with other developers on new exciting projects we deliver to X8’s clients. We are looking for someone, who’d like to join us permanently and who likes combining advantages of working for an agency and a start up. You should be familiar with Agile practices and ideally be involved in Open Source projects. Interest in sports would be a great advantage too!
We offer:
- 10000 - 14000 PLN per month (FVAT) but if we find someone great then we won’t hesitate to pay more!
- we may also consider ‘umowa o dzielo’ or ‘umowa zlecenie’ for the right candidates
