Software Engineer Ruby on Rails

Your responsibilities:
- As Software Engineer you are responsible for planning and developing new projects from the ground up.
- You work closely together with the Product Owner and the Designers to create a scalable backend application on Ruby on Rails.
- You design, develop, test, monitor, and improve web software solutions together with your team.
- Databases and caching layers are essential components of our applications. In order to improve our performance and stability, you will check all links between the server code and infrastructure.
- Although you will be part of a small agile team you will make your own decisions and work independently.
Your profile:
- B.S. or M.S. degree holder in Computer Science or at least 3 years on-the-job experience with Ruby on Rails, other programming languages are a plus
- Knowledge of different deployment systems like Capistrano
- Basic experience with JavaScript
- Know-How of building applications with OOP, SOLID, MVC, REST
- Experience with API for mobile devices and JavaScript applications
- Ability to work with test frameworks like RSpec and TDD
- Understanding of how to build up and maintain code bases
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Open Source systems is a plus
